November Committee Meeting

Holiday Season Safety: Situational Awareness & Staying Focused

Join us for our November Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Committee meeting featuring Ridge Wilson of Stay Positive Safety Solutions and Ben Smith of Mattamy Homes.

As we enter the busy holiday season, it’s important to remember that safety on the job cannot take a holiday. With increased distractions, personal commitments, and end-of-year pressures, staying focused and aware of our surroundings is critical to preventing workplace injuries.

Ridge and Ben will share practical safety tips and insights to help builders and trade partners maintain a safety-first mindset throughout November and December.

Topics will include:

Holiday Season Safety Awareness: Recognizing seasonal distractions and taking steps to stay safe on and off the job.

Situational Awareness: Staying alert, focusing on the task at hand, and avoiding distractions that can lead to accidents.

Seasonal Accident Statistics: Reviewing November and December workplace injury trends and discussing ways to reduce risk during the holiday season.

Whether you’re a builder, trade partner, or safety professional, this is a great opportunity to learn, share best practices, and reinforce our industry’s commitment to sending everyone home safely at the end of each workday.

Join us and help keep safety a priority this holiday season!

Builders and Trade Partners are encouraged to be part of the committee to help provide real-world input on safety topics, share industry best practices, and play an active role in strengthening a culture where safety always comes first.
